Switzerland - Out of the very few countries I have been to and I know, this is one of the most beautiful and God gifted one. There is always an air of freshness in whatever you see. It may be the same tree in front of your house or the same house that you see while going to your office or the same gentleman you meet while in office; everything looks refreshingly fresh.
Last week when we went for the St. Moritz trip, I was looking out through the windows of the train and was thinking that may be this is what heaven too will look like. But if one thinks in deep, one will find that it’s not beautiful just because it’s a cash rich country. It’s beautiful because of its people. People take care of not only their own backyard but also their neighbourhood. What a difference of attitude when I compare them with my own countrymen. Instead of blaming the Government of doing nothing, they themselves take care of so many things themselves, that the Government can concentrate on bigger issues. People are well mannered, they are kind and they are helpful. That perhaps the mantra behind all these. People - a great force when they are channelled well. Its not education, its not money, its just simple mannerism that they have learnt.
Last week one of my friends was telling me about racism in Europe. I do not completely disagree that having a brown colored skin doesn't help much, but compared to UK I think its less of a headache here. You can easily co exist with the white skinned people here.
When I was a kid, I always heard that Kashmir is the paradise on earth, but with increase in terrorist activities in Kashmir, I am not sure if that saying still holds good. But with this country, I can surely say so.
